Boosters Meeting Minutes January 10, 2022 7:00 p.m.

  • FROZEN- 4 shows, matinee on Saturday;

  • Fees: t shirts designed and ordered- PRODUCTION FEES DUE 1/11 (remind shared to students as of 1/10)


  • tech day on 1/15/22 - reminder to be emailed

  • POSTER flyer NEED THE GOFAN. LINK UPDATED TO ONE URL SO WE CAN FOLLOW UP WITH CREATING THE FLYER AND PROGRAM TO indicate the QRcode, SPREAD FLYERS AROUND THE COMMUNITY. Ms. FLorio will email the ELHS secretary to address the link issue. Link activates 1/18

  • Program - Arista working on and Dani Rossi helping to review and get printed

  • Publicity for just Frozen -priced to be $1130 which includes insurance and delivery fee- HERC rentals; board decides this is out of budge for FROZEN JR. but will consider other marketing strategies using flyers, and consider sign for 9 to 5

  • The school day field trip (10:30 start) for elementary schools is January 25th. volunteers/boosters in a.m. to assist with the FLOW would help Ms. Florio. (Krista Jensen, Nancy Lofredo, Kelsi Black and Tara Allen consider volunteer.)

  • GODSPELL - Student scheduled March 4th & 5


Vice President OPEN

  • HANDLES Production fees, T-SHIRT ORDERING -

Treasurer Shannon Petrignani

  • Treasurers report - $production fees for Frozen currently at $1,620.65 APPROX 46% OF TOTAL # STUDENTS; T-shirts will be ordered and sizes will be estimated for those not paying fees; all shirts available at concessions, pre-sale on boosters website.

Secretary Amanda Long-

  • Digital Shout outs for FROZEN email reminder due: _1/25/21____ please fill out Jotform; discussed coordinating with programs to use same format in paper program, would need to post request for parent interest much earlier so as to get it together for print shop. Will do this for 9 to 5.

  • Marquee sign discussed to be dismissed due to cost ($1130), emphasized getting the GOFAN link fixed ASAP to follow up with putting on the posters and marketing in the community (need group of kids/adults to place in relevant locations such as markets, childcare facilities etc) and need volunteers to spread around community.

Concessions Sara Claudio/Tara Allen

  • Olaf headbands - these are in production and what has been made will be sold at concessions.

  • Tech week for Frozen , 19, 20, 21, 26 FOOD: recommendation to define set time for snacking with an adult monitor, (set up and clean up) Amanda will create sign up genius for exactly what snacks we need for these dates including an adult monitor for first hour. Suggestion to fill Orange water cooler and provide cups, but suggest students bring refillable water bottles. For FUTURE SHOWS, recommend students bring reusable bottles for the shows to support personal water usage vs.volunteers bringing indiv. Water plastic bottles since these tend to be wasted.

  • Dinner provided by the Boosters between matinee (29th) and night show . Tara will look into Queens PIzza possibly or Pizza with donations of bag salad and bread, desert- budget remains at $100 to feed 97 kids.

  • 1/25 in school Frozen - at least 4 volunteers have committed


Sarah’s plan for garage sale: Discussion was had regarding the cost of the POD to store the donations and this will be too much considering unpredictable profit - Board decided to table this idea until next year and to consider different possibility for collection and location of rummage sale- Bella reports Students love garage sales and this might be best to coordinate early in the school year.

Carwash - Kelsi Black

  • Next car wash discussion for Sunday 2/27 and/or 3/27 boosters agree to attempt both-

Activity form to be completed for this date by Ms. Florio

  • Parade- 3-5-22 - Amanda will follow up with confirming date, costumes will likely not be ready (9 to 5) but students can dress in 70’s clothing

Program Sponsorships - Open Dani Rossi is graciously assisting Arista to get the programs created along with the Posters/flyers -

Costumes- Kristin Gallagher

  • Costumes for Frozen - sewing club has assisted to contribute to the dresses for the summer scene and created some awesome hats! Students are making due with creating for main characters.

  • 9 to 5 will be renting and borrowing many costumes. Dream sequence will require some specific princess costumes to rent/borrow but the rest is period specific street clothing.

  • Discussion to repeat the table for candy gram purchases for cast. Boosters would like to continue this and Kristin states it is streamlined process and students enjoyed this.

  • Sewing Club meetings- Kristin asks if can students receive tech points?! Bella recommends ½ point for each meeting.

Props - Natasha Gallaty -

  • will be working with Props managers to get anything needed for frozen (they did not need much) in the next couple of weeks then we’ll start working on 9 to 5.

Tech/Set Bryan Stotts - Tech day is scheduled for 1/15/22; Tech has 4 flats built already from ONe Acts, will need 4 more, and a stair unit on wheels; 3 DROPS are ordered; 2 PUsh carts are being made; need toy chest. Bryan and Mr. WIlkey will be coming into the school to work with students.

Publicity Open -

  • Price for marquee sign has doubled- $750/800 -scrapped this due to pricing for Frozen but will consider for 9 to 5

Silent Auction - Planning possibly for GodSpell

Ms. Florio-

  • Ms. Florio reports that States will not be attended due to event being held over spring break

  • Frozen at the STRAZ 3/29/22 inviting the freshman cast to attend as group

  • Guest Choreographer Saturday 2/26

  • Bella - discussion of having ‘Worlds Finest Chocolates’ sale during Valentines

  • PINS vendor- Bella will look into finding the vendor for ordering each production pin and present cost to boosters-

  • Discussion of specific makeup lists - need extra brushes and foundation available to those who cannot purchase.

  • Improv show - TBD 3/25 (Jake Tottle)

  • Yearbook ad - do we want to take out an ad congratulating the drama department seniors? Cost - full page $350, half page $200, ¼ page $175, ⅛ page $75
